Marketing Online| Boosting Your List With Safelists
I have been going back to basic recently for my next adventure
in my marketing online. My list is coming along nicely at the minute
with adswaps and giveaways but I wanted to give it another
boost so I have went back to safelists and listbuilders for
more subscribers to my list.
Safelists are mailing lists that you optin to so that you can
send mail to other members and they click on your link to earn
credits and see your offer.
You will hear lot of people say that these are not great
traffic sources but I wish to differ when it comes to building
your list. I have had great success with them in the past and
don’t know why I stopped using them.
For a start most people that are using safelists are already in
the business of online marketing and are actively promoting so
the actual targeting is good. Another aspect to look at is alot
of these people need help with their next step and we can help
them once they are on my list.
Using safelists and listbuilders comes down to a few simple
strategies to be effective.
- Be Organised
- Your email subject line is critical
- The time that you mail
With these components in place you can easily put 3 to 10
people a day on your list with the right offer.
Being Organised
To start with you need two gmail account. A contact and list account
You will be asked for each when you join the safelist. In the list
account you will need to set up filters for each safelist so
you can go straight to the emails when you need credits.
Your Contact email address is where the safelist sends solo ads
that other members have bought which are worth alot more credits
than the list emails.
When you want to mail you would go to the contact account first
and then top off your credits with the list email.
Email Subject Line
This is probably the most important part of your marketing when
it comes to safelist. You need a subject link that will catch
peoples eye. One that has worked well for me is
Congratulations FIRSTNAME, Free Gift Inside
Putting in shapes works pretty well to like
<<@@@@FREE C@SH>>
It draws the attention of the eye that is looking at all the emails
FREE is always good to have in your subject line.
Mailing Time
From testing I have gotten the best results from sending at 12 noon
eastern time which is around 6pm over here. I don’t know why but
this has given me the best results.
There are all sorts of upgrades in each site and each site is different
in how often you can send to your list. Usually upgraded members
can send more often to the list. Therefore your ad is seen more
often and people get interested.
A great resource which is free to see which safelists are the most
responsive is Traffichoopla. It tests all of them and then sends
a report on which are performing best.
If anyone has had experience with safelists good or bad or just
to say hi please leave your comments below.

Hi Glyn
I have to admit I have NEVER tried safelists.
It’s great that you are looking at it from a different angle, to try and take people to the next step once they sign up, brilliant idea!
Not sure that many people are using safelists this way, so you could be onto a winner.

Glyn,
So far I have focused on adswaps, not safelists. But the points you make about the subject line and time are noted.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Glyn
Done heaps of adswaps but not safelists as yet but after what you have said will have to consider them.
A little about me – My name is Sue McDonald and I am a student of Mark Terrell and I am actually going through the course a second time – by invitation. I love it and know if I do all he says, I will be successful. I am Australian but the US is my second home as I have family there and visit quite often. This is why I started Internet Marketing so I can travel whenever I want and have the money to do what I want.
Well I hope you are doing well and you become very successful. I would love you to come visit my blog and leave a comment.
Kind regards
Sue

Hi Glyn,
Like some of the other comments I have never tried Safe lists and in fact up until reading your post i had dismissed them altogether.
However, your very well constructed post has made me re-think this strategy. You have provided an outstanding step by step approach to follow and I truly appreciate that.
Well done mate…this was a fantastic post that really surprised and helped me to rethink my planning.

Hi Glyn
I have just come for a visit to your site. How are you going?
Yes it’s Mark and I am following my students as they post on other peoples blogs. They don’t know that I am always checking to see they are getting results. I am passionate about helping them achieve and then they are able to make some money online exactly the same as I am doing. It is not really difficult as long as they are willing to put in the effort.
Always pleasing if I can see some of my students have posted comments. Keep up the good work.
Regards
Mark

Hi Peter,
Thanks alot mate,
I have used safelists since I have started out online but was always trying to sell at the start. Since I am just using them to build my list I have been getting great results. I hit a new record of 17 subscribers in one day on friday last so you can really see the power of them
Glyn
Hi Sue,
Thanks for your comment. I lived in Australia for 4 years between 2002 and 2006 love the country but things brought me back to Ireland. Good luck with the course and definitely consider safelists to build your list
Glyn
Thanks for you comment Cheryl
Hey Sally,
Yeah I get alot of eyeballs on my squeeze page from them and it’s instant traffic so if the offer is good and you are consistant you can get alot of list members. I have set up a newsletter and giving away alot of information to my list so that is the way I’m trying to work it.
Thanks for your comment
Glyn
