It’s been sooooo long since I posted on my blog.
I am a very lazy blogger. I am changing my whole business provider at the minute and it is turning out great but it won’t be all completed until next week.

What I am doing is putting all my essentials into one easy to use place. I was going to opt for infusionsoft which is probably the best their is but their is an alternative (and not as pricy) it is called eBusiness Automation Center

There is also a 30 day trail so that you can test the system for under $5.

Just before I finish up here I want to let you know about alot of scamming that is going on in the adswap seen at the minute and just to give you some advice and a solution on the subject.

BEWARE of the Warrior Forum when looking for adswap partners. To date I have been plagued by guys setting up adswaps with me and not mailing my offer after I have mailed theirs. Disgusting people I’m sure you will agree. I am even considering putting a page on my blog here naming and shaming.

So what is the solution to this problem?

Safe-Swaps a website that tracks the swaps you do and also lets you rate your swap partners so that if someone doesn’t send for you everyone else sees that they are not sending swipes and you can steer clear of them.
You can also buy solo ads and sell solo ads on the site. I have purchased solo ads of people over there and the traffic is super targeted. This is the only place I will be getting partners from now on.

A lot of people have tried to make money in 2010 and have blamed others for their failure. It is very easy to blame others for your failure when things don’t go the way you want them and this is what seperates failure from success. Getting on the right direction in 2011 is the key message of this blog post so that the mistakes made in 2010 are not made again. Below are four key points to success in 2011.

To succeed in 2011 get to work. Yes, thats right get to work. You now realize that push button riches just isn’t true and that hard work is the only way to make your online business a success. You do not make money checking emails, surfing and talking on facebook or watching youtube videos. Start by planning your business and making an actionable plan then get to work on implementing that plan.

Stop buying every new product that comes out. Thats right, stop buying all the new latest and greatest products that promise lots of money for next to no work. We’ve all seen the products that tell you that you can make $5000 dollars in 7 days. Do you really believe this rubbish? I mean come on wouldn’t everyone be doing it if it where that simple. The sooner you realize these products are hyped up sales pages to get money from you the sooner you will stop buying these products and start concentrating on building your own business.

Start generating useful content for others. The internet is full of bad content created by programs and article spinners that is almost impossible to read or make sense off. Who wants to read the same old crap over and over plus in some cases the content is totally unreadable. Definitely not me. The best content that anyone can create is original content that you create yourself, a computer program doesn’t know whats on your mind. The content you produce leaves a trail back to you so you don’t want any old content out there with your name on it. Starting writing can be a bit daunting so the best way to start is to create a blog and start to write about you and what you are doing to build an online business. Let people know what works for you, what pitfalls they should avoid etc.. This will get you used to creating original content.

Start creating your own information products. The internet is the information super highway, people want new and up to date information on a daily basis. Provide information that people want and you will see success in 2011. If you don’t think that you can create your very own product or if you just don’t know where to start find a mentor. This was the big turning point in my own business. Mentors are great in the fact that you can make yourself accountable to them. They can show you the best path to success and stop you from making mistakes in the early days. Your mentor will also get you back on track when you stray. When you are looking for a mentor be sure to research them first. Go to google and put in their name, check out some reviews of their products. Another thing you should do is contact their support desk to make sure they will provide the support you need. A genuine mentor who has your interests in mind will be very approachable. How can they help you succeed if they cannot be approached. Mentors are not cheap but just look at how much you spent on information products in the past. It will probably be a very wise investment.

Always remember this, building a successful online business isn’t easy, there are no quick riches or push button solutions. The sooner you realize that the sooner you will become successful.

This post is about a week late but I have been so busy with everything that I am trying to get done on my product.

That’s right the secret was not the answer to Bailey’s question but it was my product. Well I am glad to tell you that the ebook is written and the video’s are made as of this morning.

I couldn’t believe how much work was in just getting this far but I think it will be worth it in the long run. After all having my own product should be the start of something great.

I’m far from finished yet I have to get a sales letter done now and this is going to be expensive from what I can make out. Another thing is graphics but I have a few people over on the warrior forum offering to help there. The price doesn’t look to be too bad but I suppose you get what you pay for when it comes to these things.

The whole script thing is baffling me at the minute there was me thinking that all you had to do is put a few sites together e.g. a squeeze page, OTO, download page but as I want to put affilates and JV’s in here I am told I have to use a script. So it’s back to some serious learning about this stuff. And any help is appreciated from anyone.

That is going to be it for now no pearls of wisdom from me this time just an update of what I have been up to for the last week. I have no marketing done at all so sorry if I haven’t been to your blog recently but I will get there soon.

A lot of emphasis must be put on the basics before we can move ahead online. There are a few things you must understand and that is that you can’t just turn on a computer and have that computer turn into a cash machine. Always remember that there is another person on a screen somewhere else in the world and they have to actually buy the product from you. So you are going to have to give them a reason to buy from you.

Websites don’t make money it’s the business behind them that does

If you are going to have a business you need to plan it out and the best way to do this is to set goals for yourself and a time frame to achieve them in. You need to be setting 12 month, 6 month, 90 day and 30 day goals. Take your time with this as this is probably the most important part of your journey online. You also should be dividing these goals into categories

Personal

Entrepreneur

Business

So I’ll give you a few examples for your personal goals. This is things that you have always wanted to do no matter how trivial e.g. windsurfing, travel to India etc… Entrepreneur goals are learn email marketing, learn copywriting etc.. And your business goals should be something like getting a blog up, building a list of 30,000 people or writing your first ebook. These are just some idea’s everyone’s goal will be unique to themselves.

Get Organised

The next step is to get yourself and your workplace organised. If you’re not organized this limit’s the productivity of your day to day activities

Keep your computer clean and organized

Write down the tasks you need to do

Create your plan from 12 months right down to your daily tasks.

Write down what you have been doing online and the amount of time spent doing it.

These few techniques will make you ten times more productive than you have been. You will find that you have more time on your hands also. Writing out a daily routine and sticking to it without fail is another get technique for keeping yourself on target. Getting yourself a countdown timer and only work on one think for an hour at a time, and not trying to do ten things at once, will be of great benefit. This is probably the number one strategy for success so go out and get yourself a timer.

By creating a DID sheet for yourself and recording everything that you did that day will let you see how productive you are being. Be honest on this sheet and you can look and see where you can become more productive by actually seeing what you have been up to.

Here are a few tips to making yourself super productive

Take breaks every hour

Have good light where you work

Go out and get some fresh air on your breaks

Don’t read Emails

Have a clean and quiet workspace

Have a plan

Plan what you want to do tomorrow today

Give your most important tasks priority

Don’t get interrupted while you are working

Use your countdown timer

Don’t multi task and

Log everything you do

These are the basic in getting a lot of productive work done by doing these simple tasks you will be ahead of 90% of the people trying to start a business online and you will also become super productive.

This post has went on much longer than I wanted it to but there is so much that needs to be said on the topic of basic. When you have all these in place it is then time to turn your focus to your business

Hi Everyone,

So to start my new blog I should tell you
a bit about myself and where I’m going.

Glyn Lafferty is my name and I am from the
northwest of Ireland in a place called Donegal.

I here you ask way am I here?

It’s quite simple. But let me start by taking
you back a few years.

Two years ago now I was going to work on a normal
january (and very cold) morning to work as a
steelfixer on a bridge not far from my house.

It was the usual cold and wet winters morning.
Anyway we where up on the bridge and it got stormy
as it does at this time of year I was moving a piece
of steel when it slipped out of my hand sprang of
some bars sticking out of the concrete and shattered
my hand.

My girlfriend and myself had just bought a new house
two months before this and at the same time she
fell pregnant all in the space of a month.

I had operations on my hand to fix it but there
was only so much they can do.

My girlfriend was so so sick from the pregnancy she
had to stop work. So that was the two of us sitting
at home with a mortgage an a new child on the way.

So as my hand started to heal the country started into
the downturn and recession hit so when my hand was good
to work again there was no work there.

So I turned to the Internet to try and make some
extra cash online, which as everyone knows is not
as easy as people marketing to you is telling you.

I spent over a year trying to make money online. I
got ten bucks here and twenty bucks there but nothing
constant.

Up until over a month ago, when I read Guru’s Nightmare
by Alex Jeffreys, I was being marketed to so now
I know where my focus is and that’s on becoming a marketer.

So I borrowed the money to get on this course and put
myself in more debut with a deadline on the debut of
two month’s.

And my FOCUS is my Beautiful girlfriend and daughter

I have decide to make this blog my journey to internet
marketing success because that is the road I am on now
with the help of my mentor Alex and the whole community
around Marketing With Alex.

What will be here?

Everything that I learn on my journey and the first thing
I have learned is that you don’t find internet wealth in your
inbox all you find there is marketing strategies from other
marketer.
