So whats been on the agenda this week? Well I’m still doing
the word processing course which is taking up alot of
time that I could be spending on my business. But there
is no need for me to make excuses as I am the one
responsible for my own business.

Free Internet Marketing Help

I have, at last, got my squidoo lens up an running. I
took today off so that I could get that finished (soosh).
I have also come up with a plan to help me make the
most out of the few hours that I have each day to get
Productive and just GET THINGS DONE.

I have come up with this plan, some of you are
probably already using this but the penny has dropped on
this with me.

I am going to write one piece of content per day and that’s
it, but what I am going to do is to change this content into
four different advertising stategies.

This is what I come up with:

1 Blog Post
2 Article
3 Video – and yes Nick they are coming.
4 Podcast

So the whole idea is to write my one piece of content each
day starting with a blog post. I then want to turn this
into an article. Blog post and articles are different but
when you have the basic idea covered and what you want to say
it shouldn’t be to hard to turn it into and article.

I have done it with my last blog post already and got my
article on the number one spot on google for the keywords,
awesome.

So the next step now is to get this video marketing thing
going. I have had technical difficulties with my camera it won’t
pick up the audio don’t know what the story is but I made one
on my phone but guess what?

I can’t get it to upload to my PC so drama drama but I will have
some time now over the weekend to get all this sorted out.

So once I make a video with the content that I have written and
use traffic geyser to upload it all over cyber space I can then
convert the audio into a podcast.

From my past experience using traffic geyser i think they actually
do this in the software so this will be kind of an
automated step YEAH automation I love it.

What about blog hopping and forums I hear you ask?

I am hopping 15 blogs a night that takes about and hour and a
half to two hours. The good think about this other course that I’m doing is
we have internet access but alot of the sights are blocked.
The warrior forum and must forums aren’t so I get to comment
in forum during my breaks.

So that’s the big plan now all laid out hope this help anyone that
needs it.

Can you see what my article on this post is going to be about?

Hey gang,

There is a lot of focus at the minute on video marketing
and why wouldn’t there be you see video marketing can
explode your business. Increases in sales and optins
of up to 400% are extremely possible if the video marketing
strategy is used properly.

What I want to line out for you here today is some basic
things that you need to do in order for number 1 getting
people to click your link and number 2 getting your
video ranked.

Well first we want to look at the seven factors that
you should have in your video presentation. This stuff
was taught to me by none other than Maria Andros (The
video marketing queen).

The Seven Step Video Formula for Success

1. Welcome
2. Establish your credibility as an expert and leader
3. Create a hook
4. Share your personal background and story
5. Paint the problem
6. Provide a solution
7. Call to Action

These are the seven items that you should have in
your video. Now we can get into a bit more detail on these.

1. When you are doing your welcome message make sure to
treat the view as if they where one of your best friends.
This is basically loosen up talk to the camera.

2. When establishing your credibility make sure you tell
the viewer why they should listen to you. They don’t know
you so give them a reason for them to think that you know
what you are talking about.

3. Creating a hook e.g. a tip or strategy. This will get
them interested in what you are talking about.

4. When sharing your personal background you are trying to
get some rapport with them and they will see you as someone
they like and trust. People do business with people that they
like so this is a big factor in how successful your video
will be.

5. Painting the problem this is where you create the problem
that you are going to give them a solution to plus it
will be something that your product or service will eliminate.

6. The solution is your solution to the problem you just
painted and always remember the solution is going to be your
product or service.

7. The call to action. This is where you tell the viewer what you
want them to do next for example go to the link under the video.
Ask them to leave a comment.

Getting all these factors into you video presentation will get
clicks to your blog or offer.

When posting your video to the web there are a number of things
you need to be aware of first thing should be your title. This
should be something creative usually a “how to” is a good start
but you also need to do some keyword research. Look for
keywords that have under 500,000 competitive sites.

When you are uploading your video make sure that you have
your keywords in your title, description and tags. One to two
times in your title, two or more in the description and have
them in the tags as well.

A great tool for getting your video out all over the net is
Traffic Geyser. This tool is great as it will post your video
to all the top video sites plus it will bookmark you video
as well.

This post has gone on much longer than I wanted but there
are a lot of factors to take into account when you want
to get the most out of your video.

Until next time

Hey Guys,

I have been very busy this last week driving traffic. and
also the unemployment people in Ireland decided to send
me on a word processing course for the next 26 weeks 8.30
to 5 each day.

Now as part of the competition I have to tell people what I
have been doing to drive traffic to my site.

Well I have been doing alot of high traffic blogs,
oil rig hopping and I have been pretty active in warrior
forum and a few others. I’m also in the process of writing 5
articles and getting a squidoo lens up and running. That is
basically how I’m driving traffic.

I have also got a script for my video but my camera has gone
missing “weird”. My girlfriend and daughter are away for a night
or two so I have to wait till she gets back tomorrow to get my
video recorded.

“Terri knows where everything is in the house.”

So let us push on.

As I was saying earlier I have been doing a lot of oil rig
hopping and checking out alot of different blogs. One thing
that I noticed is that there are alot of blogs with uncatagorized
catagories in them. This is not good for the SEO of your blog as
it doesn’t give the search engines a topic to put your post
under.

The basic formula is

Domain + Catagory + Post Title = SEO magic

Your domain can be as broad as your like in the niche
you are in.

The catagories on your blog should be more focused
so that the search engine knows more specifically what
your content is about. Anything between 7 – 12 catagories
is ok.

Your Post Title should be the long tail keyword that you
have choosen for your post anything from 5 -7 words is
fine.

Use google adwords keywords tool to find your keywords.

Each post that you publish on your blog should be pinged.
Pinging basically tells the search engines that there is
a new post on your blog or website.

Here is a list of ping site that I use wordpress will ping
automatically for you so all you have to do is put the list
in your blog dashboard.

Login to wordpress

On the left hand side click on Settings.

When settings opens up click on Writing.

At the bottom of the page there is a heading Update Services
this is where you want to put your pinglist.

There are some ping sites already there but this is a more
substanial list. This list also includes that list that is there
already.

Pinglist

On a lighter note check out this video This is hilarious.

Hope you enjoyed the video

A lot of emphasis must be put on the basics before we can move ahead online. There are a few things you must understand and that is that you can’t just turn on a computer and have that computer turn into a cash machine. Always remember that there is another person on a screen somewhere else in the world and they have to actually buy the product from you. So you are going to have to give them a reason to buy from you.

Websites don’t make money it’s the business behind them that does

If you are going to have a business you need to plan it out and the best way to do this is to set goals for yourself and a time frame to achieve them in. You need to be setting 12 month, 6 month, 90 day and 30 day goals. Take your time with this as this is probably the most important part of your journey online. You also should be dividing these goals into categories

Personal

Entrepreneur

Business

So I’ll give you a few examples for your personal goals. This is things that you have always wanted to do no matter how trivial e.g. windsurfing, travel to India etc… Entrepreneur goals are learn email marketing, learn copywriting etc.. And your business goals should be something like getting a blog up, building a list of 30,000 people or writing your first ebook. These are just some idea’s everyone’s goal will be unique to themselves.

Get Organised

The next step is to get yourself and your workplace organised. If you’re not organized this limit’s the productivity of your day to day activities

Keep your computer clean and organized

Write down the tasks you need to do

Create your plan from 12 months right down to your daily tasks.

Write down what you have been doing online and the amount of time spent doing it.

These few techniques will make you ten times more productive than you have been. You will find that you have more time on your hands also. Writing out a daily routine and sticking to it without fail is another get technique for keeping yourself on target. Getting yourself a countdown timer and only work on one think for an hour at a time, and not trying to do ten things at once, will be of great benefit. This is probably the number one strategy for success so go out and get yourself a timer.

By creating a DID sheet for yourself and recording everything that you did that day will let you see how productive you are being. Be honest on this sheet and you can look and see where you can become more productive by actually seeing what you have been up to.

Here are a few tips to making yourself super productive

Take breaks every hour

Have good light where you work

Go out and get some fresh air on your breaks

Don’t read Emails

Have a clean and quiet workspace

Have a plan

Plan what you want to do tomorrow today

Give your most important tasks priority

Don’t get interrupted while you are working

Use your countdown timer

Don’t multi task and

Log everything you do

These are the basic in getting a lot of productive work done by doing these simple tasks you will be ahead of 90% of the people trying to start a business online and you will also become super productive.

This post has went on much longer than I wanted it to but there is so much that needs to be said on the topic of basic. When you have all these in place it is then time to turn your focus to your business

Hi Everyone,

So to start my new blog I should tell you
a bit about myself and where I’m going.

Glyn Lafferty is my name and I am from the
northwest of Ireland in a place called Donegal.

I here you ask way am I here?

It’s quite simple. But let me start by taking
you back a few years.

Two years ago now I was going to work on a normal
january (and very cold) morning to work as a
steelfixer on a bridge not far from my house.

It was the usual cold and wet winters morning.
Anyway we where up on the bridge and it got stormy
as it does at this time of year I was moving a piece
of steel when it slipped out of my hand sprang of
some bars sticking out of the concrete and shattered
my hand.

My girlfriend and myself had just bought a new house
two months before this and at the same time she
fell pregnant all in the space of a month.

I had operations on my hand to fix it but there
was only so much they can do.

My girlfriend was so so sick from the pregnancy she
had to stop work. So that was the two of us sitting
at home with a mortgage an a new child on the way.

So as my hand started to heal the country started into
the downturn and recession hit so when my hand was good
to work again there was no work there.

So I turned to the Internet to try and make some
extra cash online, which as everyone knows is not
as easy as people marketing to you is telling you.

I spent over a year trying to make money online. I
got ten bucks here and twenty bucks there but nothing
constant.

Up until over a month ago, when I read Guru’s Nightmare
by Alex Jeffreys, I was being marketed to so now
I know where my focus is and that’s on becoming a marketer.

So I borrowed the money to get on this course and put
myself in more debut with a deadline on the debut of
two month’s.

And my FOCUS is my Beautiful girlfriend and daughter

I have decide to make this blog my journey to internet
marketing success because that is the road I am on now
with the help of my mentor Alex and the whole community
around Marketing With Alex.

What will be here?

Everything that I learn on my journey and the first thing
I have learned is that you don’t find internet wealth in your
inbox all you find there is marketing strategies from other
marketer.

That’s it for now I hope you enjoy my journey and the marketing
tips and strategies that I learn.
